Hot isostatic pressing (HIP) allows the production of complex components geometry. Generally, a high quality of the components is achieved due to the well managed composition of the metal powder and the non-isotropic properties. If a duplex stainless steel is produced, a heat treatment after the HIP-process is necessary to remove precipitations like carbides, nitrides and intermetallic phases. In a new process, the sintering step should be combined with the heat treatment. In this case a high cooling rate is necessary to avoid precipitations in duplex stainless steels. In this work, the influence of the HIP-temperature and the wall thickness on corrosion resistance, microstructure and impact strength were investigated. The results should help to optimize the process parameters like temperature and cooling rate. For the investigation, two HIP-temperatures were tested in a classical HIP-process step with a defined cooling rate. An additional heat treatment was not conducted. The specimens were cut from different sectors of the HIP-block. For investigation of the corrosion resistance, the critical pitting temperature was determined with electrochemical method according to EN ISO 17864. An impact test was used to determine the impact transition temperature. Metallographic investigations show the microstructure in the different sectors of the HIP-block.

Putze und Fugenmoertel, insbesondere in Sichtmauerwerken uebernehmen wesentliche technische, bauphysikalische und aesthetische Aufgaben fuer die Fassade und tragen massgeblich zum Erhalt der historischen Bausubstanz bei. Dabei sind an Denkmalen haeufig Befunde historischer Putze und Fugenmoertel sowie Verarbeitungsweisen und Handwerkstechniken vorhanden, die heute nicht mehr gebraeuchlich sind und beherrscht werden. Deshalb kommt ihrer Erhaltung besondere Bedeutung zu. Als aeusserster 'Angriffspunkt' der Gebaeudehuelle sind die Putze und Fugenmoertel der Witterung und zum Teil chemischen, biologischen und mechanischen Belastungen frei ausgesetzt und werden in Spritzwasserbereichen auch durch Tausalze beansprucht. Die dadurch sowie durch Alterung und Ermuedung entstehenden Schaeden werden beschrieben und Moeglichkeiten fuer die Erhaltung und Instandsetzung der Putze aufgezeigt.
We consider classes of (Formula presented.)-by-(Formula presented.) sign regular matrices, i.e. of matrices with the property that all their minors of fixed order (Formula presented.) have one specified sign or are allowed also to vanish, (Formula presented.). If the sign is nonpositive for all (Formula presented.), such a matrix is called totally nonpositive. The application of the Cauchon algorithm to nonsingular totally nonpositive matrices is investigated and a new determinantal test for these matrices is derived. Also matrix intervals with respect to the checkerboard ordering are considered. This order is obtained from the usual entry-wise ordering on the set of the (Formula presented.)-by-(Formula presented.) matrices by reversing the inequality sign for each entry in a checkerboard fashion. For some classes of sign regular matrices, it is shown that if the two bound matrices of such a matrix interval are both in the same class then all matrices lying between these two bound matrices are in the same class, too.
Techniken zur Energiewende - studentische Fachkonferenz im Masterstudiengang Elektrische Systeme

Die studentische Fachkonferenz im Rahmen des Seminars im Masterstudiengang Elektrische Systeme in der Fakultät für Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik wird zum sechsten Mal veranstaltet.
Alle Studierenden erarbeiten unter dem vorgegebenen Rahmenthema eigene Beiträge, recherchieren, ergänzen, stellen die aktuellen Erkenntnisse zu wissenschaftlichen Publikationen zusammen.
Die Energiewende ist seit einigen Jahren ein heiß diskutiertes Thema. Die dezentrale Energieversorgung
unter Anwendung erneuerbarer Quellen, insbesondere Wind- und Solarkraft, ist langfristig gesehen die
einzige Antwort auf die Ausbeutung der Erde und Zerstörung der Umwelt durch Gewinnung nichtregenerativer
Energien, insbesondere Öl, Erdgas und Uran. Allerdings gibt es noch viele Bereiche, die intensive wissenschaftliche und entwicklungstechnische Arbeiten benötigen. Wie aus dem Titel durch Verwendung des Wortes „zur“ anstatt „der“ schon erkennbar, werden in dieser Fachtagung weniger die Techniken betrachtet, die schon zum Einsatz kommen, sondern zukünftige Techniken, die gedanklich auf Papier gebracht wurden, oder inzwischen das Stadium der Machbarkeitsstudie erreicht haben.
Das Thema Energiewende beinhaltet ein sehr breites Feld von Techniken. Daher haben sich die Teilnehmer
auf nur wenige, wichtige Gebiete konzentriert: Regenerative Energiegewinnung, Elektromobilität,
Speichertechnologien und Smart Grid. Durch das intensive Befassen mit diesen Themen haben sich die
Studierenden zum ersten Mal richtig mit den Problemen der Energiewende vertraut gemacht. Sie haben
dabei erkannt, dass für die Ingenieure der Fachrichtungen Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik überaus
vielfältige, spannende und auch aus gesellschaftspolitischer Sicht notwendige und lohnende Aufgaben auf
sie warten.
Requirements Engineering in Business Analytics for Innovation and Product Lifecycle Management

Considering Requirements Engineering (RE) in business analytics, involving market oriented management, computer science and statistics, may be valuable for managing innovation in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). RE and business analytics can help maximize the value of corporate product information throughout the value chain starting with innovation management. Innovation and PLM must address 1) big data, 2) development of well-defined business goals and principles, 3) cost/benefit analysis, 4) continuous change management, and 5) statistical and report science. This paper is a positioning note that addresses some business case considerations for analytics project involving PLM data, patents, and innovations. We describe a number of research challenges in RE that addresses business analytics when high PLM data should be turned into a successful market oriented innovation management strategy. We provide a draft on how to address these research challenges.
Using multi-camera matching techniques for 3d reconstruction there is usually the trade-off between the quality of the computed depth map and the speed of the computations. Whereas high quality matching methods take several seconds to several minutes to compute a depth map for one set of images, real-time methods achieve only low quality results. In this paper we present a multi-camera matching method that runs in real-time and yields high resolution depth maps. Our method is based on a novel multi-level combination of normalized cross correlation, deformed matching windows based on the multi-level depth map information, and sub-pixel precise disparity maps. The whole process is implemented completely on the GPU. With this approach we can process four 0.7 megapixel images in 129 milliseconds to a full resolution 3d depth map. Our technique is tailored for the recognition of non-technical shapes, because our target application is face recognition.
